Guides¶
The Getting Started quickstart walks the happy path end to end. These guides go deeper on each step — read them in order, or dip into whichever one you need. Each is task-focused and self-contained.
Setup¶
-
Choose your audio device, set input channels, and route MIDI. Mono vs. stereo input, ASIO, and where the settings live.
-
Pick the notes to sample, preview them, and understand the app's octave naming (it may differ from your DAW).
Layers & variation¶
-
Record multiple dynamics per note and control how velocity ranges are split.
-
Capture several takes per note for natural-sounding repetition.
-
Set how long each note is held and how long each recording lasts (Auto vs. Manual).
Recording¶
-
Normal stereo vs. recording each channel in a separate pass.
-
Hear your instrument before and during a run.
-
Read the grid, audition takes, and track progress.
After recording¶
-
Trim, reverse, and fine-tune individual takes.
Save & export¶
-
Store a session and reopen it later.
-
Write SFZ, Kontakt (KSP), and Decent Sampler formats.
